Lately, I have tried to add a little balance to my 'all or nothing' personality type. I tend to focus 100% on the hobby of the day/week/month and all else in my life falls by the wayside. Same goes with reading, which I love, but life requires more than curling up with a good book. I found a fantastic solution! Books on tape ... well, that's a little old fashioned ... books on MP3. Librivox.org has a huge catalog of the classics that you can download to your computer, phone, whatever for free. Masks the boredom of mundane tasks like painting or cleaning and allows me to cross a book off my reading list. Can't beat it.
Finished up Pride and Prejudice recently and I must confess that I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. The entire time I envisioned Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen and could not get the movie out of my head. Lesson learned ... read the book first!!!
